Hans J. Wegner

Hans J. Wegner

Known as the "Master of Chairs' ', Hans Wegner was one of the most persuasive and driving figures around interior design through the 1940s to 1960s. His most notorious and unmistakable work is regularly to be viewed as what's essentially called "The Chair ''. Whenever utilized in the 1960 US political race banter among Kennedy and Nixon, the Chair's (and Wegner's) acclaim detonated.

It was a long way from his main work. All through his life, Wegner planned north of 500 seats, with 100 of those going into large-scale manufacturing. Consolidating productive usefulness with an undeniable eye for an inside plan, a portion of Wegner's other most popular works incorporated the Ox Chair, the Wing Chair, and the Shell Chair.

Given the open door from the get-go in his profession to work for Arne Jacobsen, Wegner had the option to refine his abilities under one more of Denmark's driving planners. His ability was evident, and following quite a while he laid out his studio and began planning his "Chinese" seats, which would prompt one more of his most famous pieces, the Wishbone Chair.
